The Austrian won the largest Online Main Event in history. The WSOP Online 2024 Main Event at GGPoker was the largest in history. 6,146 entries were registered over 17 initial flights to form a huge prize pool of US$29,193,500. Such figures had never been reached before in a tournament of this magnitude, so the event was news in itself.
Added to this was the participation of great stars of world poker, such as Daniel Nergeanu, to make a true world poker party that finally ended with Moritz Dietrich as champion. The 620 qualifiers from the initial flights met on Monday to play Day2.
They played until the names of the nine finalists who gathered yesterday to define the champion were finally defined. True to the name of the tournament, most of the finalists were from different countries around the world.
Evgenii Akimov started as the chip leader with 86 BB and Rui Ferreira Flag of Portugal followed with 67 BB while Moritz Dietrich completed the podium with 57 BB. Also, Ilya Anatski was still in the lead with 43 BB ahead of Isaac Baron (34 BB) and Hai (30BB).
The three finalists who came in with the fewest chips were Audrius Stakelis (20 BB), Diogo Coelho (17 BB) and star coach Benjamin Rolle (14 BB).
