The poker has returned to Kyiv, this after the Ukrainian government recognized and legalized this year the poker as a sport, however, it was only for offline competitions so offline sport poker events one is now legal again.
Minister of Youth and Sports Igor Zhdanov signed the order No. 3780 on August 16, 2018. By the order, the Minister has recognized sports poker as the official sport in Ukraine. The game will be classified in the Register of Recognized Sports by the item “II.119. Sports poker”.

They have already started with tournaments with prize funds of 5,000,000 hryvnia (local currency) in the club of sports poker Full House Kyiv. The series is supported by the All-Ukrainian Federation of Sports Poker and will also identify the champion of sport poker in Ukraine.
The organizers promise a variety of tournaments in no-limit Hold’em and Omaha. Players from different cities of Ukraine and guests from abroad will have an opportunity to take part of this Renaissance.
