Bogotá, Colombia – Coljuegos has blocked 10,000 websites and social media profiles for operating unauthorized gambling services in the country. The measure, announced by Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of the entity, marks the largest crackdown on illegal betting since online gambling was first regulated in Colombia.

The affected platforms include virtual casinos, bingo sites, sports betting houses, and promotional raffles operating without a license. Additionally, Coljuegos has requested the blocking of 289 social media profiles and is advancing 35 sanctioning processes against influencers and companies promoting unauthorized betting activities.
In Colombia, only 16 operators are authorized to offer online betting, contributing over $435.248 billion in 2024 to the public health system through exploitation rights.
Coljuegos reaffirms its commitment to regulating the industry and warns that it will continue taking strict action against platforms operating outside the law.
