Missouri has officially legalized sports betting after a narrow vote margin of just 2,961 votes. The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) is tasked with overseeing the implementation of this new legal framework, including the issuance of licenses and drafting of regulatory guidelines.
Under Amendment 2, professional sports teams and land-based casinos across the state are authorized to offer both on-site and mobile sports betting. The initiative also permits up to two mobile sports betting operators to receive licenses directly from the MGC.
