The COVID-19 Restrictions are coming back to Las Vegas Casinos, will players stop going?

The COVID-19 Restrictions are coming back to Las Vegas Casinos

Three casinos in Las Vegas have reimposed a mask mandate among employees regardless of their vaccination status. As of Friday, staff at the Venetian, the Palazzo and the Sands Expo & Convention Center will have to wear masks inside the venues.

The casino operators are following a recommendation from the Southern Nevada Health District, which said: “With the rise in cases and slowing vaccine rates in Clark County, the Health District’s recommendation to wear masks in crowded public settings, including grocery stores, malls, large events, and casinos, is a step to fully utilize the tools we have available to stop the pandemic”.

Keith Salwoski, a spokesman for The Venetian told the Las Vegas Review Journal: “Complimentary face masks are available to our guests at front desks, Grazie desks and concierge desks.”

Las Vegas casinos were allowed to fully reopen on June 1. The mask mandate was lifted once most of the staff were fully vaccinated.
