Illegal closures. In the middle of last week, the SWAT team from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office advanced an operation in the wee hours of the morning in order to strike a blow to illegality in the United States.
The successful operation took place at 4:00 a.m. and at least 20 people were arrested during a raid on a building at the east of Oakland where an illegal casino was allegedly operating and alleged prostitution activities were reported
In the mentioned building lived around 28 people, including a minor of 5 years of age. Ray Kelly, Sheriff's office sergeant said that these people lived in precarious and unhealthy conditions so the structure was shut down.
Kelly said that during the operation they also seized slot machines, drugs and weapons.
Suspects arrested face charges of being under the influence of drugs and probation violations for felonies, according to Kelly
