Talking about the regulation of online gambling in Peru, what is observed is a delay and it takes much longer than the interested people and companies would have liked; experts say that it is not due to a lack of knowledge of the market or lack of will, more than anything because of the political environment that the country is going through. However, players in Peru are very mature and demanding, always asking for the latest in the market. This makes the operators make sure they have the latest technology for their customers.
At the same time ensure that the legislation on online gambling and sports betting will create a great growth in that segment and the largest operators in the world will enter this market.
Even José Vidal Fernández, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru who oversaw opening the event, assured that:
"In the country, sports betting and online gambling are being developed. They already occupy a rather important space without there being a regulation that establishes clear rules of the game and conditions that must be met to operate. For this reason, MINCETUR has developed a project that proposes the regulation of these activities. To date it is in coordination with other State institutions for validation"
This year, the fair had a total attendance to the conferences as well as the exhibition halls, where sports betting was due to the new regulations that the country is taking to give legal direction to this sector.
The exhibition also had slot machines with large screens and surround sounds in the style of Las Vegas, the latest technology roulettes. Finally, a week before the event, the number of people registered exceeded the record of other years and all the locations of the fairgrounds were sold out.
