Published date: 2024-10-10

Currently, in the department of Tolima there are 66 operators 166 authorized premises of games of chance and luck of a localized type, in which 3,004 electronic slot machines and 500 bingo chairs operate.

Coljuegos, street machines, a business opportunity for Colombia.

Through the program, it is expected that small shopkeepers and merchants will associate and gather up to 80 slot machines, this to request authorization from Coljuegos. It should be mentioned that authorization requests may only include machines that have not been part of a concession contract with Coljuegos.

The Resolution establishes that each commercial establishment may operate at least one electronic slot machine, while the maximum will be established according to the population census of the municipality where they operate, as follows:

- More than 50,001 inhabitants: maximum four machines per location ● From 25,000 to 50,000 inhabitants: maximum three machines per location

- Less than 25,000 inhabitants: maximum two machines per location

Thus, electronic slot machines for peace may operate in legally constituted commercial establishments such as stores, drugstores, bars, hotels, among others. With this, we seek to avoid criminal problems and sanctions for working families who, due to ignorance of the law, have illegal slot machines in their stores.”
