The Mayor Victor Alvarez Mejía and the Municipal Health Secretariat have led the campaign “Es Contigo Cartago” since June and aims to support Cartago's economic revival gradually and securely.
On 13 August, the Government of the Republic approved pilot plans for restaurants, gyms, casinos, and bingos in the municipality.
lWith Municipal Decree No. 349 of 13 August 2020, the implementation of these pilot schemes began from 14 August to 30 Sunday. This test is being carried out with previously participating institutions on the subject, and having the revised, approved and verified protocols through a visit by the authorities and the municipal government.

The six casinos operating in this city since August 14 have been sent to Coljuegos for processing and the local agent sends authorization to start operations.
However, as well as other sectors already opened, they should be in line with the public policy measures established by the current national, departmental and municipal Government, such as curfew and peak touches and papers.
To apply all biosecurity protocols established and previously approved by this office, such as: social distance, temperature control and symptoms, diligence of information of persons entering the establishment, and other previously established biosecurity standards.

Each establishment which will participate in the pilot test must be given express authorization issued by the Health Secretariat and in the case of the Casinos, of Coljuegos.
