Las Vegas cash games are on a five-month streak of big profits. The Nevada Poker Room charged rake for $ 8.7 million in September. This amount is the highest collected since September 2013, when they raised $ 8.9 million.
Nevada has a total of 589 tables registered throughout the state, which are divided into an offer of 62 different poker rooms.
Of course, those private items or illegal sites are not counted. If we take into account the average of this month with 598 tables and $ 8.7 M collected, it is higher than the average of September 2013, with 755 tables and $ 8.9 M collected.
In turn, this figure represents an increase of 3.5% over the same month but last year. And if we take into account that five consecutive months have been increasing profits, we have to return to 2013 to witness the same situation. Now, we have to keep in mind that the best month in Nevada's history was back in September of 2006, when more than $ 12 million was raised. It was the Golden Age of poker.
There is much talk of this "new resurgence" of poker as the game is expanding around the world, especially in those places called "emerging markets", read countries like India, Brazil, Russia and China. (READ SO: BRAZIL PUTS IN RISK THE GLOBAL POKER SHARE LIQUIDITY)
