Hard Rock International is not stopping its expansion despite what the COVID-19 has done to the entertainment industry. This time the company has just announced that has acquired the casino premise license from The Ritz Club in London, UK.
With this acquisition, the world-renowned entertainment and hospitality brand will set a new casino in London, continuing Hard Rock’s expansion into major gateway cities around the world.
“We look forward to expanding our brand offerings within London and bringing our award-winning hospitality, gambling and entertainment to the birthplace of Hard Rock,” said Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International.
As one of the world’s most recognizable brands, this strategic move sets the stage for the creation of a casino that will complement the other Company offerings in international gateway cities like Hollywood, FL, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid and many more.
Hard Rock is one of a small number of US casino operators pursuing an IR license in Japan, where it had previously focused its energies on Hokkaido. It is believed the company has not ruled out also pursuing other locations after Hokkaido announced its withdrawal from Japan’s IR race in November 2019.
