Live! Casino Philadelphia launches free dealer school

Published date: 2026-07-10

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has launched a new free table games dealer training program, aiming to expand its workforce of skilled gaming professionals and meet the growing demand for qualified dealers at one of Pennsylvania's largest casino destinations.

Registration officially opened on 8 July 2026, with the first class beginning the same week.

The Table Games Dealer School is a six-week program designed for applicants 18 years of age or older, with no previous casino experience or college degree required. Training will be delivered by experienced instructors and includes hands-on instruction in blackjack, baccarat, roulette and craps, as well as customer service, table game procedures and the operational standards required to work in a regulated casino environment. Upon successful completion, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for dealer positions at Live! Casino Philadelphia, subject to employment requirements and regulatory licensing.

Located at 900 Packer Avenue, adjacent to the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia opened in 2021 and is operated by The Cordish Companies, while the property is owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. (GLPI). The integrated resort features more than 2,100 slot machines, approximately 150 table games, a 29-table poker room, the FanDuel Sportsbook, a 208-room hotel, multiple restaurants, bars and entertainment and convention venues.

Kevin O'Sullivan, Vice President of Gaming Operations at Live! Casino Philadelphia said the initiative is designed to introduce more people to careers in the gaming industry while creating long-term employment opportunities through professional training at no cost to participants. Casino operations and employee licensing in Pennsylvania are regulated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), chaired by Denise J. Smyler, with Kevin O'Toole serving as Executive Director. The PGCB oversees casino licensing, gaming employees, table games, slot operations, sports wagering and regulatory compliance across the Commonwealth.

With this initiative, Live! Casino Philadelphia is investing in workforce development as a strategic priority, strengthening its talent pipeline in an increasingly competitive gaming market where experienced table games dealers remain in high demand.
