Maryland’s six casinos generated nearly $163m in gambling revenue in February, contributing $68.2m to the state. Gambling revenue was up by nearly $37m, or 29.1 percent, compared to February 2021, when casinos were operating under Covid-19 restrictions.
Tax contributions totalled $68.2m, including $49.6m for the Education Trust Fund. MGM National Harbor generated $65.8m in revenue, while Live! Casino & Hotel reported $59.4m and the Horseshoe Casino $17.7m.
Hollywood Casino in Perryville reported $7.8m, Ocean Downs Casino in Berlin nearly $6.6m and Rocky Gap Casino in Flintstone $5.5m.
The casino figures from Maryland Lottery and Gaming include revenue from table games and slot machines.
