Okada Manila expands casino with 70 slot machines

Published date: 2026-10-27

Manila, October 26, 2026. Okada Manila, located in Entertainment City, Parañaque, inaugurated a new gaming zone on October 25, featuring 70 slot machines, six game families, and upgraded audiovisual technology. The expansion aims to strengthen its land-based gaming offering and attract visitors in a market where electronic gaming revenue declined during the third quarter.

Located near the Pearl Lobby entrance, the new gaming area features LED screens, immersive lighting, and next-generation gaming cabinets, including models equipped with 49-inch curved displays. The space was designed to increase commercial visibility and enhance the experience for regular customers and new visitors.

The resort is operated by Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. (TRLEI), a subsidiary of Japan's Universal Entertainment Corporation, headed by President Tomohiro Okada. Nobuki Sato, President and Chief Operating Officer, oversees the resort, while Rick Colman, Vice President of Electronic Gaming Operations, leads its commercial modernization.

The inauguration brought together 70 VIP members of the Okada Reward Circle loyalty program, each receiving PHP 5,000 in promotional gaming credits, equivalent to PHP 350,000 in potential benefits. The area subsequently opened to visitors aged 21 and older.

According to preliminary results released on October 14, Okada Manila generated PHP 7.037 billion in gross gaming revenue (GGR) during the third quarter, representing 0.9% year-over-year growth. Slot machines generated PHP 2.883 billion (−4%), despite a 5.6% increase in wagering volume. Mass-market table games reached PHP 3.007 billion (+19.7%), while the VIP segment declined 21.4% to PHP 1.147 billion.

Adjusted EBITDA fell 13% to PHP 962 million, although visitor numbers increased 11.8% to 1.45 million, and hotel occupancy reached 95%. The resort, regulated by PAGCOR, headed by Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, covers approximately 35 hectares and features 933 hotel rooms and 400 gaming tables. The specific investment amount for the new gaming zone was not disclosed.
