It has been already almost two years since the new Czech gambling regulation came into effect, it is suppressively that since then hasn’t been more than one licensed online poker room in the country.
However, this about to change due to the new publication the Finance Ministry did in their website updating the list of licensed gambling operators with one more.
Partypoker will launch the second licensed online poker room in the country with the Czech domain partypoker.cz.
Partypoker applied for a license in 2017, but later withdrew its original license application. And the company obtained its license through the local King’s Casino in Rozvadov. King’s Casino has long been a partner of Partypoker, previously hosting MILLIONS Germany and Grand Prix events. King’s will also play host to WPT Germany in August next year.
It was back in 2017 when the company (Partypoker) announced a temporarily withdrawal from the Czech gambling market, because the taxes for foreign gambling operators were increased. As a result, many companies that have been providing their services at the Czech gambling market, are not able to work anymore.
