Georgia and SBC Summit Tbilisi 2026 position Eurasia as the next gaming growth hub

Published date: 2026-06-18

Georgia will once again become the center of the Eurasian gaming industry on July 15–16, 2026, when the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace hosts SBC Summit Tbilisi 2026, the region’s leading conference for betting, iGaming, casinos and gaming technology. The event reinforces Tbilisi’s growing status as a strategic gateway between Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus, attracting operators, regulators, investors and suppliers seeking expansion opportunities in some of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world.

Organized by SBC Events in partnership with SMH Global, the summit is expected to welcome more than 2,500 delegates and over 60 industry speakers, alongside executives from major operators, casino groups, sportsbook brands, affiliates, technology providers and government representatives. A key focus will be regulatory development, anti-money laundering (AML), responsible gaming, payments, artificial intelligence, sports integrity and expansion strategies across emerging Eurasian markets.

The choice of Georgia is no coincidence. Unlike several neighboring jurisdictions that maintain strict restrictions on gambling activities, Georgia has built one of the most open and mature gaming frameworks in the region. The country allows land-based casinos, online casinos, sports betting, poker, slot clubs and totalizator betting, creating an ecosystem that has transformed it into a regional gaming hub.

Regulatory oversight is primarily carried out by the Revenue Service of Georgia, operating under the Ministry of Finance, while the industry maintains close dialogue through the Georgian Gambling Association (GGA), led by George Mamulaishvili. The market has become particularly attractive for international operators due to its favorable business environment, developed digital infrastructure and strategic location between Europe and Asia.

Georgia’s casino industry is concentrated in key tourism centers such as Tbilisi and Batumi. Major properties include Casino Adjara, Casino Iveria and Ambassadori Casino in the capital, while Batumi hosts large-scale operations such as Casino International Batumi, Eclipse Casino and Grand Bellagio Batumi Casino. Batumi has become a significant gaming destination for regional tourism, particularly from neighboring countries where casino gaming remains restricted.

The conference arrives at a time when Eurasia is becoming increasingly important for global operators seeking new growth opportunities. By bringing together regulators, operators and investors under one roof, SBC Summit Tbilisi aims to strengthen Georgia’s position as the gaming capital of the Caucasus and a critical bridge between European and Asian gaming markets.
