Homologation. Coljuegos recently issued the External Circular No. 20191000000066, after analyzing the results of the different technical tables that were conducted with operators, manufacturers and laboratories evaluating the impact of the homologation of slot machines in the industry.
In this circular, the work schedule is modified to establish the conditions of reliability. Well, from the technical tables mentioned above, some initiatives emerged from some of the participants (operators and manufacturers) to present to Coljuegos a technical document that supports the reliability of the slots that are currently operating in the country.
In this way, Coljuegos will give the opportunity to present these technical documents, in addition they will be the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC) as a National Organization for Standardization will support and provide technical support to the regulatory entity in the preparation of this document, to guarantee transparency and objectivity in the construction of the technical requirements for the slots.
In this regard, ICONTEC will provide its advice considering the guidelines for structuring and drafting, in accordance with national and international practices.
Finally, a working committee will be created with the different actors in the sector in order to socialize and discuss the corresponding document once it is structured. According to this, the Coljuegos schedule will be adjusted, which will be published on the entity's website during the next few weeks.
