In addition to requests from the gambling sector that were made to the regulatory authority, more guilds joined from other lines of the economy, seeking to put media pressure to find solutions that would allow the sustainability of all sectors on the loose rope.
Now, guilds in entertainment and tourism sectors warned that restrictive measures in the cities such asid numbers restrictions and extended closures are on the verge of bankruptcy to entrepreneurs, as they are not accompanied by real relief compensating for decreasing their income and currently reaching figures above 70%.
These guilds include Asobares, Acecolombia, Acoltés, Acotur, Inhotelcol, Asocolweb, Fecoljuegos and Acolap who asked the National Government to preserve economic activity and jobs.
"with relief that relates to the time we have been restricted to operate, as we continue to bear tax and payroll responsibilities, without any consideration."
If it is not possible to respond to the request for more impact relief, they asked the government to rethink closures of their economic activity, using an alternative to restrictions on days and hours and avoiding the sum of measures that make the operation unsustainable.
Including gambling, the above sectors represent activities that are carried out on weekends, and generate around 3,000,000 jobs throughout the country, which have been committed to more than 50 per cent as a result of intermittent in the operation.
In that sense, the guilds said that “within the various activities of the sectors we represent, significant economic contributions are made to the country's health system for over $1 billion a year, resources that are significant for the health emergency we are going through”.
They thus invited the National Government, governors and mayors to closely understand the realities, to generate effective and immediate solutions that protect the sources of employment and allow all to survive in this crisis.
