After going through three deserted bidding processes, and with the Attorney General's Office watching over them, Coljuegos had to give in to the request made by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
This Ministry asked the president of Coljuegos, César Augusto Valencia, to guarantee the obtaining of the revenues that must be destined to the health system, also that it was a priority to apply the principles of planning, transparency and free concurrence of the state contracting, at the same time it requested Coljuegos to inform the decisions and actions that it will advance to grant the Baloto in concession, or if it will administer or operate the game directly.
In view of this scenario, Coljuegos made the necessary adjustments to the final bidding, the conditions of the process and the schedule, guaranteeing the plurality of bidders, among other aspects, which allowed two bidders to submit their bid to administer Baloto.

Thus, two proposals were received from firms interested in the concession, for 5 years, to operate the Baloto, the popular online game of luck and chance, in the abbreviated selection process SAMC- 001-2022, the interested firms are: Promesa de la Sociedad Futura Operador Nacional de Juegos S.A.S and Sociedad IGT Games S.A.S..
The latter is the one that currently has the operation of the game. During the last 10 years.
The next stage is the evaluation of the proposals, which took place from April 22 to 25, 2022, during which time the preliminary evaluation report will be published three working days later in the SECOP II platform, for the observations of the bidders.
Finally, on May 2, 2022, the operator awarded the concession contract will be published.
The Attorney General's Office will continue its preventive surveillance as observer in this process, considering the importance of this rent monopoly for obtaining resources for health.
