The number of bets decreased 7%, while the average monthly active accounts in the first quarter increased 11%. Major sporting events, such as Euro 2024 taking place this quarter, are said to contribute to this increase.
Gross slot machine revenue increased 10% to £642 million. The number of spins increased by 12% to 22.4 billion, while the average monthly active accounts in Q1 increased by 11% to 4.4 million per month. In this dataset, the slot machine vertical has reached highs in terms of GGY, spins and average monthly active accounts.
The number of online slot sessions lasting more than one hour increased by 8% year-on-year to 9.6 million. The average session length remained at 17 minutes. Approximately 6% of all sessions lasted more than one hour, the lowest percentage recorded in the dataset.
In Q1 2024-2025, gross betting revenue decreased by 1 percent to £582 million compared to the same quarter last year, while the total number of bets and spins decreased by 1 percent to 3.2 billion.
