SJM Resorts has confirmed that its Casino Grandview, located on Taipa Island, Macau, will officially cease operations at 11:59 p.m. on July 30, 2025. The closure is part of SJM’s broader restructuring to phase out satellite casinos by the end of 2025.
In an official statement, SJM announced that customers holding unredeemed chips, deposits, or promotional balances from Casino Grandview can redeem them at Casino Casa Real, starting July 31. “The company will ensure that all customer entitlements are duly honoured,” SJM stated.

The shutdown aligns with Macau’s evolving regulatory framework, which encourages concessionaires to centralize operations and reduce dependency on third-party satellite venues. Grandview is the latest in a series of closures, leaving SJM with only two active satellites: Ponte 16 and L’Arc Macau.

Approximately 159 staff members directly employed at Grandview will be reassigned to other SJM properties. The remaining employees, hired by the casino’s third-party promoter, will be given priority consideration for future roles. The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and the Labour Affairs Bureau will supervise the transition.

Gaming tables and assets currently in use at Grandview will be redistributed to other SJM venues, minimizing disruption to overall capacity. The move reflects SJM’s effort to streamline operations while maintaining player trust through clear redemption procedures and continuity of service.
