Casino Marbella, one of the leading gaming venues on Spain's Costa del Sol, has announced a major expansion of its land-based gaming floor, increasing its slot machine offering to more than 130 units, while simultaneously launching a new online casino platform. The official unveiling is scheduled for 23 July 2026, marking a new stage in the property's strategy to integrate its land-based and digital operations under a single brand.
Located inside the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella in Marbella, Málaga, the casino is operated by Grupo CIRSA, one of Europe's largest gaming and casino operators. The property is managed by Javier Burgués, who has overseen recent modernization projects and the casino's broader innovation strategy.
The expansion significantly increases the property's slot capacity, which previously featured just over 90 gaming positions. In addition to the enlarged slot floor, Casino Marbella continues to offer American roulette, electronic roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker, sports betting, progressive jackpots, VIP gaming areas, restaurants, bars and live entertainment, reinforcing its position as one of southern Spain's premier integrated gaming and entertainment destinations.
The project also introduces the revamped Casino Marbella Online platform, allowing customers to combine their on-property gaming experience with remote play through the same brand. The initiative reflects the growing omnichannel strategy adopted across Europe's regulated gaming industry, where operators seek to strengthen customer loyalty by seamlessly connecting retail and online operations.
The expansion follows several years of continuous investment in the property. During 2024, Casino Marbella completed a comprehensive refurbishment of its facilities, while throughout 2026 it has expanded its international poker calendar, enhanced its entertainment programme and strengthened its hospitality offering. During the summer season, the slot floor operates daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., while the main gaming floor welcomes guests from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Although Grupo CIRSA has not disclosed the investment amount or expected revenue associated with the project, the company confirmed that the expansion forms part of its long-term strategy to reinforce Marbella's position as one of the Mediterranean's leading luxury tourism destinations. By combining a larger land-based casino, expanded gaming capacity and a fully integrated online platform, Casino Marbella aims to capture growing demand from both domestic and international visitors.
