Which perfectly applies as a call to all entrepreneurs in the gambling sectors, whom had the pleasure and good sense to participate on October 25 and 26 at the GAMING MARKET COLOMBIA, organized and conducted by FECOLJUEGOS, we conclude that It was an event that nobody, who has real interest in the sector, could miss.
An event with a top priority agenda for our current situation, which included the participation of important representatives of different gambling subsectors, leaders and directors of public and private entities of great incidence in our sector and our national and international market, but in which the vast majority of entrepreneurs shone by its absence.
It is worth asking ourselves if it is that the majority of our associates and friendly entrepreneurs are not united by the common interest in discussing the "Challenges of the Sector in Normative Matters"
... or on the need to build a "Public Policy of the Gambling industry " or of the "Impact in Health Financing" which were the three axes of discussion proposed by the event.
It is a pity that few people involved in the gambling industry in Colombia have wanted to present their position on such important issues as, for example, whether it is convenient or not to increase the minimum number of machines per concession contract, or whether the term is sufficient or not the 3 and 5 years in the actual standard, or to present the point of view on the direction of the resources that the industry collects for health and the degree of efficiency with which they are being invested; in short, if it is relevant or not, to promote a normative change and what those aspects that we need to change in the Law should be.
Hopefully when we open the space for construction promised by public entities involved in the event, led by the President of COLJUEGOS, for a possible reform of the law that favors our industry, our small localized game entrepreneurs representing more than 76% of the total market, have been able to synchronize their interest and thus can link their opinions within an environment of sufficient confidence to achieve a comprehensive proposal, and finally win both the State and the businessmen, in this way to dream of the development of the industry towards levels of competitiveness like those that nowadays demands the national and international market in the matter of games.
It is worthwhile to "REACT" and open our eyes to the situation of our sector.
