Athens, March 25, 2025 — Greece’s leading gaming company OPAP has reported its highest gross gaming revenue (GGR) in history, driven by explosive growth in online casino games and sports betting during 2024. The results reflect a broader trend across Europe toward digital gambling and the increasing appeal of regulated online platforms.
According to OPAP’s latest financial statement, the company recorded a gross gaming revenue of €2.296 billion in 2024, marking a 10% year-on-year increase from the €2.087 billion reported in 2023. This surge is attributed largely to the strong performance of the company’s online verticals.
- Online casino revenue jumped by 29.2%, fueled by both new user acquisition and higher engagement from existing players.

Looking ahead, OPAP forecasts low single-digit GGR growth for 2025, with an expected EBITDA margin around 35%, demonstrating strong operational efficiency despite a maturing market.
