Coljuegos new agreements formalizes the joint work of the National Government, the territorial entities, the Police and the Attorney General's Office in the fight against illegality in the gambling industry.
The entity is committed to help all entrepreneurs of the sector to get back on their feet after what they have been dealing with, looking to place back the importance of the casinos and gambling within the economy.
According to the Governor (e) of Meta, Fernando Rivera Saraza, the Pact for Legality represents a very opportune inter-institutional work in favor of legality, which is reflected in more resources for the health of the people of Meta.
It must be emphasized that the Pact for Legality is framed in the first axis of the development plan of the National Government to encourage the generation of a culture of legality of games of chance in all the national territory.
This series of pacts is thought to help the health of the locals as well, as the gambling sector is the main supporter.
Likewise, Valencia, Coljuegos president, highlighted the valuable contribution to health thanks to the gambling collection in the 29 municipalities of this region, more specifically in the last 32 months the figure amounts to 49.000 million pesos (11 million euros approximately).
On her part, the manager of the Meta Lottery, Luz Mireya González Perdomo, emphasized the importance of establishing joint work actions that represent a reactivation of the local economies through gambling industry. "The signing of this Pact is undoubtedly an endorsement to the work we do in the regions for the gambling sector. Betting on legality means complying with the social mission of contributing to the health system that the departments need so much", affirmed the official.
On the other hand, Coljuegos highlights that the 38 operations carried out in Meta, have allowed the removal of 800 elements of games of chance that were operating illegally. This represents about 5,527 million pesos (1.2 million USD) for exploitation rights that the department has stopped receiving, plus the VAT, which is estimated in 2,200 million pesos (approximately 500 thousand USD)
