The creation of stable jobs and the generation of greater resources for the health of Colombians, are two of the main concerns of the central government and, Coljuegos can contribute greatly to these laudable purposes with the formalization of more than four hundred thousand slots machines that are located throughout the national geography and whose owners are waiting for an opportunity to formalize themselves, and enter to operate legally and contribute to the integral development of the nation.
It is well known to all that the current legal system does not allow the individual formalization of these slots machines, but if an adequate agreement is made, the legal inconveniences could be overcome through the association of the interested parties or with the mechanisms allowed by law.
It is a demonstrable fact that nobody wants to operate from illegality, because of the inconvenience it entails and because of the disastrous effect that this produces on one's self-esteem.
But if the competent authorities, especially those who manage the rent monopoly of gambling sector do not provide them with real opportunities for formalization, they will have no alternative other than continuing to operate in hiding, with all its consequences.
At the recent business conference held in Barranquilla and which Dr. Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo could not attend due to previous commitments, the desire of some operators to propose alternative solutions for the current problem affecting the current problem could be felt in the environment sector, as well as for the eventual regularization of the slots machines that are operating illegally.
Nobody questions the operations that are carried out regularly in the different regions of the country, but it is clear that it is not only with repression how this scourge is resolved, since a situation similar to that of the moto-taxi drivers could be reached, who the day after the motorcycle was confiscated, they buy another and continue to operate in the same city and with the same people, as the popular song says.
Guild organizations are willing to propose alternatives and seek joint solutions, but goodwill from the counterpart is needed, because at least two are definitely needed for dialogue. Hopefully soon we can conclude agreements that satisfy everyone and that benefit the Colombian community in general.
