Georgian Public Broadcasting is the national public broadcaster of Georgia. Today, 85% of the Georgian population receive the First Channel, and 55% receive the Second Channel (but did not mention any changes to gambling advertising on this channel).
Georgian TV’s programs are also received by satellite and over the Internet in several European and Asian countries.
The ban will come into effect on 1 January 2020. The broadcaster said in a statement on 30 October that it made the decision due to its position as a public entity with the goal of contributing to the wellbeing of Georgian society.
