The two major parties for the New Jersey government have expressed their support for a possible casino expansion in the northern part of the state.
While Phil Murphy said he agreed on the potential development of the casino industry further off Atlantic City, Kim Guadagno stated that the state must first wait that Atlantic City stablishes its own financial situation before getting the expansion of casinos in the ballot questions.
Last November, citizens of this city were asked if they supported the construction of two casinos on the north of Jersey. Hard Rock International operators have communicated their interest to build casinos in Jersey. They have secured their entry to the casinos state market by purchasing the Trump Taj Mahal. Nevertheless, some sources affirm that the dominant developer has not yet given up and has planned to build a rock themed resort in northern Jersey.
