With the "boom" of legal sports betting, many of us ventured to take all our savings and credits available to enter the world of betting, excited to become big business, based on the popular adage that says "the house always wins ", we swore that any investment made in this business was assured, the situation was not enough to think otherwise, the Russian soccer world 2018 was coming and after several years sports betting finally found a framework of legality .
For this, at least 1 year ago we started to establish contacts with people from the gaming industry, we attended several fairs and we had a number of conversations with the managers of the authorized operating companies to exploit sports betting in Colombia, in which we always left thinking that we were in the business of the future; and that is in the middle of the pens, folders and souvenirs that "gave us" in each meeting.
Meetings, that were by protocol only must be said, they raised our ego calling us "entrepreneurs" and in which they showed us all the possible gains that could be obtained in this activity, one really believes the story.
However, in practice things were changing little by little and reality was landing us from the cloud in which they had us assembled, face (commercially speaking), with solid companies, with experience, with a great knowledge of the market, that have hundreds of commercial points throughout the city and also have an almost unlimited financial muscle that allows them to invest a lot of resources in advertising and promotional, it was not an easy task and speaking in football terms that difference was noted within the " field of play ".
Because of this we began to understand that "the house" does not always win (at least ours), that we were probably not going to recover our investment as quickly as we expected, we entered into a crisis and we began to question if we had been late for a business that for us until now was starting, given the recent effect of the regulation that authorizes this commercial activity.
But not everything was bad and crisis always something good is, and landed we could elucidate things better, we understood that we are not going to become big business overnight, that the natural rule tells us that we must first crawl and walk for later if we dare to run and make the leap to the business success that we hoped to achieve with this global, we must concentrate on competing against ourselves, seeking to improve our services every day and offer a differential factor that captivates and loyalty customers to whom We can reach you with our limited resources, we begin to worry about knowing the needs of the users we serve every day, because this opens up a whole world of small markets that we hope to cover.
Which leads us to the conclusion that we are doing the task as it should, and we hope at some point to graduate as true entrepreneurs in the gaming industry.
