Polfa has captured several police officers that blackmailed casino operators

Speaking about the (colombian) national day of the prevention of the active money laundry, which was held last Monday October 29, some of the local media like RCN and the FM, have joined to the guild seeking motivating all the actors related to the gambling industry, seeking to unifying them for the elimination of corruption within the sector.





Recently, the Polfa (Colombian customs police) gave Coljuegos a detailed report with the strategies they carry out to curb the operation of illegal gambling in the country. General Juan Carlos Buitrago (pictured), director of the Polfa, explained that the report made special emphasis on a surprising discovery with which the authority has encountered as it develops its control operations within the industry.

 

Well, police are blackmailing the operators or owners of the casinos, with the excuse of not closing their establishments for not having apparently the legal documentation, in exchange for money.





"We have received allegations from casino owners about inadequate staff practices. We told them that the General Inspectorate is prepared to take measures to eliminate the institution's corruption outbreaks without any delay, "adds the general.

The director of the POLFA explained that they will continue the legal process corresponding to these situations notifying to ordinary instances to advance the investigations of these behaviors but they have already captured several of these police officers.

The Special Administrative unit, agency of the Inspector General of taxes, rents and parafiscal contributions (ITRC), has as mission to monitor the integrity of entities such as DIAN, COLJUEGOS and UGPP, with the purpose of protecting the public patrimony and Strengthen these institutions in order to generate higher income for the nation. among other hilightable aspects,, the report revealed that more than 500 slot machines have been seized, and 29 machines that have recently entered the country in the last few days are being tracked. With their learning about the different elements of gambling,, they have managed to understand how the main suppliers of these devices that are generally used to work under an illegal framework are the Chinese, so they are working to reinforce the controls.

So far this year 33 people have been captured and eight convictions have been issued for illicit exploitation of the monopoly
