Nevada casinos closed 2024 with historic revenue, driven primarily by baccarat tables and multi-denomination slot machines, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's updated report as of January 15, 2025. Table games generated more than $5.08 billion in revenue throughout the year. Baccarat established itself as the most profitable table game, with $1.39 billion in profit for casinos and a profit margin of 15.57%. In second place, blackjack (Twenty One) brought in $1.33 billion, with a margin of 14.25%. Other notable games include craps ($450.6 million, 16.35%), roulette ($440.1 million, 16.96%) and Ultimate Texas Hold'em ($207.5 million, 22.98%).

Slot machines, meanwhile, remained the main source of revenue in casinos, totaling $10.5 billion in 2024. Among the different categories, multi-denomination slots dominated with $7.15 billion and a profit margin of 6.75%, followed by 1-cent slots, which generated $2.36 billion with a margin of 9.36%. Other notable slots included $1 slots ($528 million, 6.7%) and 25-cent slots ($180.6 million, 8.01%). According to data updated as of December 31, 2024, the most commonly used bonus types include:
• Free spins: Most of the most played slots offer free spins rounds, triggered by landing certain special symbols.
• Progressive multipliers: A growing number of games include cumulative multipliers, allowing for increased payouts as bonus rounds progress.
• Buy the bonus ("Bonus Buy"): Several popular slots allow you to pay a fixed amount to immediately access bonus rounds, without waiting for random activation.

• Linked Progressive Jackpots: Although less frequent, progressive jackpots remain one of the most attractive bonus features, with million-dollar prizes.

Despite a slight drop in the performance of the Las Vegas Strip, with a 1% reduction in revenue, other areas such as downtown Las Vegas and Reno experienced growth, consolidating Nevada as the epicenter of gambling in the United States.
