Foxwoods Resort Casino has opened The Innovation Zone, an interactive gaming space inside The Fox Tower Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, developed in partnership with Interblock. Foxwoods says it is the first casino outside Las Vegas where these next-generation products are available.
The project was previewed on February 15, 2026, during Foxwoods’ 34th anniversary. Its public unveiling was announced on July 25 and reported on July 26, although the operator did not specify the exact opening date.
The confirmed lineup includes Cosmic Crash, Battle for Earth and Destroyer; Naval Strike, alongside slots and electronic table games. Cosmic Crash combines a vertical ball drop, pinball-inspired visuals and crash mechanics; its multiplier increases until a random event ends the round. Battle for Earth transfers that format into a space battle.
In Destroyer; Naval Strike, inspired by naval combat board games, players position ships on a grid while dice generate coordinates. Each round begins with three missiles; a successful hit awards a prize and another shot, while players can purchase three additional missiles after exhausting them.
The “immersive” experience does not involve confirmed virtual-reality technology. It refers to screens, sound, themed animation, touch controls and timing decisions integrated with real-money wagering. Interblock positions its AMUSE line as a fourth casino category alongside slots, traditional tables and ETGs. Its portfolio exceeds 12 titles.
Foxwoods is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and managed by Jason Guyot; Rodney A. Butler chairs the Tribal Nation. The resort operates with more than 3,200 slot machines across four casino floors and offers over 1,900 hotel rooms.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Gaming Commission, chaired by George Henningsen and led operationally by Executive Director Al Baldoz, supervises gaming under the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and the 1991 Gaming Procedures. Kay Oswald has led Interblock since July 21. Investment, floor area, terminal numbers, employment, RTP and betting limits were not disclosed.
