The Nevada Gaming Control Board revealed monthly gaming win totals for the state with casinos earning more than $1 billion yet again.
With this, it has been the third consecutive month that Nevada has been able to reach this edge. While visitation stayed flat, with volume down 0.9% to 3.75 million people, Las Vegas strip has earned this year $573.9 million. However, the decreases were also felt in March, with Downtown Las Vegas down 14.2% at $54 million in monthly earnings.
The Strip was actually also able to see a double-digit percentage increase for most table games operated there except for Pai Gow.
January to March marks the first back to back billion-dollar win months to take place in Nevada since 2008. March 2018 was the 38th time the state was able to record a $1 billion+ monthly gaming win.
