Coljuegos. In Chinchiná (city of Manizales), they jailed the first people under the charges of monetary profit by illegal gambling, authorities captured two owners of 15 illegal slot machines in the past days. They and those who administered these elements of illegal gambling fell to the full extent of the law, which imposes a great precedent against the struggle of illegal gambling in the country.
The First Criminal Court of the Circuit of Chinchiná, Manizales, first sentenced the two owners of 15 electronic slot machines with four years in prison, and a fine of $ 196 million and 500 thousand Colombian pesos.
In addition, the administrators of these game elements were given 24 months in prison and a fine of $ 96 million COP´s
These offenders were attributed the crime of illicit exercise of monopolistic activity of rent-seeking arbitration. With this great step that Coljuegos has achieved, its fight to end the illegality in the sector, to continue promoting professionalism, growth under a transparent and legal framework.
