The governor of Norte de Santander, William Villamizar, the mayor of Cúcuta, Cesar Rojas, along with various authorities and regulatory bodies such as Coljuegos, Prosecutor's Office, National Police, among others.
Coljuegos celebrated yesterday, March 18, the seventeenth Pact for Legality that seeks to formalize and institutionalize a cooperation agreement between the department, the Police, the Attorney General of the Nation and all the entities that make up the table of the legality of the gambling industry, to combat illegality in the department and its capital.
In this department, according to the existing information within the Coljuegos concession contracts, 67 localized gambling establishments are registered, that is, casinos or bingo halls operate legally 2,321 slot machines and a permanent betting company.
With all these elements of play, the estimated sales in the department at the end of 2018 amounted to $ 440,501 million, which represents 1.7% of total sales throughout the country.
As for sports betting, in Norte de Santander there are 71,831 player accounts and in Cúcuta specifically 54,784, and 25 department-level stores where these players can access sports betting. This sector of the department contributed $ 37,912,328,863 pesos in 2018
Likewise, only in Norte de Santander last year 114 of these elements were withdrawn, which according to the entity's estimates had to pay $ 321 million per year.
