Therefore, Mundo Video Corp has dialogued with different operators throughout the country, seeking to understand and know the reality they must deal with in order to keep their casinos and employees afloat.
On this occasion, José David Rozo (JDR), told us what his vision regarding the reality of the casino sector in Colombia with the restrictive measures for the operation in Bogotá, and the support of Coljuegos to them.
MV: With Coljuegos' new growth plan for this year, do you think that casinos are really being taken into account with the reality of the sector?
JDR: Well, with the new that is being presented if we are being taken into account from my thinking, because if it has helped a lot with the high cost of taxes that we previously paid, now the percentage they are charging is much lower despite the fact that many banks have discriminated against gambling, it has served a lot.
MV: What would happen if we entered a new total quarantine?
JDR: It would be difficult, complicated. The casinos handle employees, leases, contracts with Coljuegos so there will always be losses in the establishments, if the quarantine that happened was difficult, another more quarantine would be even more complicated because we are trying to survive.
MV: How do you think Coljuegos should help casinos this year?
JDR: The best help that I see is in the sense that they are not going to collect taxes for a machine without generating income, previously they were charged whether it generated income or not, but the machine now with the pandemic has neither input nor output. because having no charge from Coljuegos. I think this is the best help you can give us.
MV: Would you agree to pay to vaccinate your employees?
JDR: I would think that that would be on the part of the government since even the casinos pay everything for the health of the country. But if in case it were to play it would be very good for the commitment to the employee.
