The event that took place at the municipal mayor's office at 9:00 in the morning will also be attended by Dr. Felipe Murgas, Secretary of the Municipal Government, businessmen and operators of games of luck and chance, and municipal authorities.
The president of Coljuegos recalled that this is the first agreement signed in 2023, but it is part of the agreements that the entity has signed with mayors and governors in previous years and that are a priority for the National Government, considering that it must work hand in hand with the territorial entities in the consolidation of this industry as a legal and responsible entertainment activity.
"We are aware of the importance of this industry for public finances and for the financing of public health, which is why, from this Mayor's Office, we are fully committed to working jointly with Coljuegos in the fight against illegality."
Likewise, the mayor of Valledupar, Mello Castro González, has reiterated his administration's commitment to raising awareness, educational actions, and support for inspection and control in the fight against illegality in games of luck and chance.
