Philadelphia casinos are once again requiring employees and guests to wear face masks while indoors.
Due to the increase Covid-19 cases caused by the Delta variant, the City of Philadelphia has reimposed the use of face masks in most indoor public places. Businesses that require proof of vaccination for all customers and staff are exempt from the rule.
Philadelphia’s casinos were allowed to open without restrictions in June, two weeks after state-wide Covid-19 restrictions were lifted in Pennsylvania. Now, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has categorized Philadelphia as having a “high” community spread of the virus.
The city is urging employees to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will have to wear two face masks in the workplace from September 1.
