On September 21, the regulator of games of chance in Colombia was present in the department of Quindío together with the authorities with whom they work together to dismantle the illegality in the industry.
This is the eighth agreement of wills to implement the strategy of "Playing legal is betting on health" of Coljuegos so far, this year, the strategy designed by the body proposes to implement the following actions:
1. Improve efficiency and effectiveness in control actions
2. Increase crime awareness processes with the support of the national police and the general prosecutor of the nation
3. Campaign to sensitize citizens to bet only on legal sites
In addition, institutionalizing the different cooperation agreements between the identified actors allows implementing and promoting a culture of legitimacy of the industry throughout the national territory, promoting the protection of resources of the state intended for health. With this, Coljuegos signed the 8 of the ten covenants for the legality that has been proposed in the city of Armenia with an agenda that lasted all morning, where there were words from those present as the Governor of Quindío Father Carlos E. Osorio, Carlos M. Álvarez mayor of Armenia and even the director of ITRC Marcela Moncada Barrera.
In the middle of the signing of the pact, the importance of Quindío for the sector was renamed, a department that lost $ 4.84 billion pesos a year, of which $ 1,239 corresponded to Armenia. He also recalled the fruits that have been achieved throughout the execution period which opened space to continue fighting against illegality and setting great goals, among them, Coljuegos hopes to seize more than 3300 machines that are currently working under a framework.
