The recognition "Transformative Leaders" is given annually to public and private initiatives that improve the capacities of companies and consumers in digital scenarios. According to eWorld, the regulator has been awarded for promoting innovation and digital transformation in the gambling sector by generating positive impacts on the well-being of citizens and generating resources for public health.
"This award shows that in the midst of a digital economy the transformation of society must be understood; one that is fully connected, where more and more citizens are attached to a mobile, and as Coljuegos has done, this new world must be interpreted" said Víctor Muñoz, high presidential advisor for Innovation and Digital Transformation.
Finally, in the ceremony of celebration and greeting of the award, Juan B. Pérez assured that:
"The online gambling is a sample of the importance of the digital economy of the country, the 16 authorized operators, have 1,525,082 registered player accounts. We hope to continue advancing so that these games become an important fiscal source for the national Government, where responsible gambling policies are demanded as: information of the time in which a player is active on a page, self-exclusion procedures, limits on bets or acquisition of credits for the participation in the games, prohibition to minors, among other measures ".
