Shortly after the announcement was made saying that POLFA (Colombian Customs Police) was going to specialize in slots machines and all related to gambling industry, and intensify its operations, the results began to be seen.
A few days ago, a customs control operation was carried out in the village of El Carmelo in the municipality of Candelaria, Valle.
Where officials of the division in charge of the city of Cali, went in search of those slot machines that did not comply with the rules established to operate or with the respective import records required by the current customs regulation, that is, technical contraband.
In the operative, it was possible to dismantle a clandestine casino that had a total of 18 slot machines, which after being verified by POLFA officers the result of technical contraband was given. This gave rise to an apprehension of material valued at $ 15,300,830 COP and left to the disposal of the National Tax and Customs Section.
In addition, the owners of the casino were sanctioned with the temporary suspension of commercial activity and a fine, as dictated by the National Police Code.
