IV IBEROAMERICAN GAMBLING SUMMIT: SEEKS TO END ILLEGALITY IN THE INDUSTRY

At the annual reference meeting for the gambling industry that serves to analyze and define the interests, challenges of the main agents of the sector in the global context, in other words, the IV Ibero-American Summit of the game that has yielded in Cartagena, where Coljuegos faced all the activities with an excellent performance.

As in past editions, the four thematic axes on which the programming of the event will revolve are: regulation, internationalization, opportunities and innovation. What was supported by all agents or representatives of the different nations even in the middle of the summit, the representative of Spain, Juan Espinosa affirmed that there were several meeting points in the strategic vision of Coljuegos for the gambling industry.

Colombia is the first to regulate online games in Latin America and has the second largest interconnected machine park in the region. Coljuegos is a model in Latin America to fight against the illegality of the gambling industry. In five years, 11,593 slot machines have been seized illegally, with an increase of 19% in the last year.

Illegality means that the country evades around 340,000 million COP a year, so the regulator proposed a crusade against it seeking to end every time with it, even in Bolivar in 2017 have already intervened 87 machines, to which it should be remembered that this department generates by rights of exploitation 18,000 million COP per year
