Colombia’s regulated gaming sector continues to break records. According to Coljuegos, operator Corredor Empresarial has contributed a staggering $763.5 billion COP to public health over the past two years through its flagship platforms Betplay and SúperAstro.
During the Corredor Empresarial General Assembly, Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, highlighted these results as a symbol of “historic progress in novel games and online betting.” Between January and February 2025, Betplay transferred $47.1 billion COP, and SúperAstro added $24.7 billion COP — a 26.8% increase over the same period last year.

Beyond health funding, Betplay also paid $81.8 billion COP in VAT, helping finance Colombia’s peace initiatives. Additionally, player deposits on Betplay surpassed $1.12 trillion COP in 2025, while SúperAstro reported $120.6 billion COP in sales — a 2.99% year-on-year increase.
Coljuegos has also escalated its fight against illegal gambling, with over 13,800 website blocking requests issued to protect the country’s 14 licensed operators. The crackdown has received praise from figures like Ramón Jesurún, president of the Colombian Football Federation, who called the effort “essential for the integrity of sports betting.”
