The gaming industry in the Philippines is undergoing a transformation driven by the rapid growth of digital entertainment. Recent data from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) shows how the online sector is gaining prominence while land-based gaming faces a relative slowdown.

According to figures from the regulator, industry revenues reached approximately ₱106 billion Philippine pesos in 2025, reinforcing the country’s position as one of the most active gaming markets in Southeast Asia. However, the composition of those revenues is shifting: the e-games and digital platforms segment continues to expand faster than traditional casinos.

Industry statistics reflect this trend. In the first half of 2025, the market generated around ₱214.75 billion in gross gaming revenue (GGR), with the digital segment contributing more than 50% of the total, according to reports from PAGCOR. This growth is linked to the rising number of connected users, the expansion of technological platforms, and increasing demand for online gaming experiences.

Within this context, MegaFUNalo has emerged as a new initiative from Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, one of the leading casino operators in the Philippines and the owner of Solaire Resort & Casino. The project consists of the country’s first fully transparent live casino studio, designed to stream games in real time and connect digital players with tables operated by real dealers.
The launch is part of Bloomberry’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the digital gaming sector, combining streaming technology, interactive platforms, and live gaming content. Industry analysts note that projects of this kind reflect a broader global trend: the convergence between physical casinos and online experiences in a market that continues to expand thanks to technological innovation and growing demand for digital entertainment.
