Supergiros, a company dedicated to money transfers, decided to go even deeper in one of its strongest business lines in the last 15 years: games of chance with the launching in Barranquilla of the 'Raspa y listo', a scratch and win that has as a sales promise the instant payment of its prizes. And it does it in alliance with Coljuegos.
It is a move that seeks to take advantage of the current infrastructure: presence in 23 of the 32 departments of the country, the cash flow produced by the management of the money transfers of a wide sector of Colombians, and the experience that the company already has with Betplay, the 'cousin' of Supergiros.
For the president of Coljuegos, César Valencia, the launching of 'Raspa y listo' is an antidote against illegal gambling, a modality that is still present in Colombia and that directly affects the collection of taxes for the departments.
"Players are looking for sweepstakes that pay them immediately and this game does it legally and without barriers," Valencia said at the presentation event of the new business.
The estimates of Asojuegos, the guild that unites the operators of games of chance, is that in the next 5 years the departments that are part of this new product will receive an additional 260 billion pesos (64.889.838 USD).
"In the year 2020 an agreement was reached so that the departments receive more resources in the next years as a result of the sale of these cards", assured Juan Carlos Restrepo, president of Asojuegos.
In essence, the 'Raspa y listo' is a card that must be scratched with a coin and if the player, after this action, has three similar figures can collect a cash prize at the same place where the card is sold.
"With this card we hope to start a new stage of services in the extensive network we have and in which Colombians have so much confidence," said Edgar Paez, president of Supergiros.
