The Louisiana Gaming Control Board Monday reported revenue of $218.3 million in March, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%. March revenue generated by the state’s riverboat casinos and Harrah’s New Orleans, the state’s only commercial land-based casino, was a 12.2% increase from the $193.0 million brought in during March 2022.
Sports betting generated revenue of $32.3 million from a handle of $249.0 million. Online sports betting was responsible for revenue of $28.8 million from a $223.0 million handle.
Retail sports betting revenue was $3.5 million, the handle $26.0 million. Lake Charles properties accrued revenue of $83.6 million in March, an 8.5% year-over-year increase.
L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles generated revenue of $30.2 million, followed by Golden Nugget Lake Charles with $29.4 million.
Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel was responsible for revenue of $15.2 million. Horseshoe Lake Charles, formerly Isle of Capri Lake Charles, brought in $8.9 million.
