Nevada laws. One Nevada lawmakers is pursuing a bill to lower the legal gambling age to 18, the new bill introduced this month would lower the legal gambling age in Nevada to 18 but it would not allow those under 21 to drink alcohol in a Nevada casino.
A state gaming regulator said the bill is “dead on arrival.” The measure will almost surely stall and die in the legislature. It doesn’t seem to be much support elsewhere for the proposal. (READ SO NEW YORK, THE NEXT ONE IN THE POKER ONLINE MOOD)
The idea has been considered briefly in the past, but state officials across the political spectrum haven’t shown any desire to expand gambling in this way. Even if the gambling age was lowered, casinos still couldn’t serve alcohol to anyone under 21.
Nevada casinos won $11.26 billion from gamblers last year, an increase of just 1.3 percent compared to 2015 and still well below the record of $12.85 billion in 2007.
